- Satellite - It is a minor tournament to win an entry into a larger tournament.
- Showdown - It's when all active players, at the end of the final betting round, turn their cards face-up to see who has won the pot.
- Side-pot - One or more separate pots which is contested by remaining active players when one or more players are all-in.
- Small blind - The amount put in the pot by the person immediately to the left of the dealer "button" before the cards are being dealt. The Small Blind is half the Big Blind
- Split - Tie. When two or more players has hands of the same rank they split the pot.
- Stack - A player's pile of chips.
- Straight - Five consecutive cards of any suit.
- Straight flush - Five consecutive cards of the same suit (Great hand!).
